Linda Corr ID’d as Car Driver Injured in Burney Traffic Accident on Highway 299 near Fir Street
Burney, California (May 1, 2019) – A McArthur woman has been identified as the driver who was among several other people injured in a crash involving a Forest Service truck on Tuesday evening in Burney, according a local news source.
The wreck happened at about 5:12 p.m. April 30, on Highway 299 near Fir Street.
CHP said Linda L. Corr, 66, of McArthur, was driving a 1996 Lexus when she veered into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the Forest Service truck, a 2008 International.
The impact caused the truck to overturn onto the embankment.
Linda Corr Among Several Injured in Highway 299 Crash in Burney
Corr and one passenger in the service truck were taken to Mercy Medical Center in Redding with major injuries. Another passenger in the service truck who suffered major injuries was taken to Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding.
Eight people, including the driver of the service truck, were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
