Madera County, California (April 26, 2019) – The two people who were killed when a plane crashed Thursday afternoon in Madera County have been identified as Joe Kulbeth, 76, and Saverio Chimienti Jr., 28, of Fresno, according to authorities.
The deadly crash happened shortly before 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25 near Road 17 and Avenue 23.
Authorities said Kulbeth and Chimienti were flying in a small single-engine plane when it crashed in a field. Details regarding what led to the crash were not immediately released.
Kulbeth and Chimienti were killed in the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board are working to determine what caused the crash.
