69-Year-Old Woman Killed in El Cajon Pedestrian Crash on South Mollison Avenue

El Cajon, California (April 20, 2019) – A 69-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in El Cajon on Friday night, according to the El Cajon Police Department.
The crash took place at about 7:50 p.m. April 19, on South Mollison Avenue, just south of east East Washington Avenue.
Police said the woman was trying to cross the street when she was hit by a northbound 2003 two-door Ford Explorer.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Her identity was not immediately released.
The driver of the Ford stayed at the scene. The driver was identified as a 58-year-old man from El Cajon.
Alcohol or drugs were not believed to be factors in the accident.
The crash is under investigation.
