Oceanside, California (April 8, 2019) – Four people were injured in a fire accident on Saturday afternoon in Oceanside, according to the Oceanside Fire Department.

The accident took place at about 2:00 p.m. April 6, on Division Street and Brooks Street.

Police said the fire originated from a single-family home with two dwelling units built as additions. The wind quickly caused the fire to spread to a nearby six-unit apartment building on Division Street and another one on Brooks Street.

Two Severely Injured in Oceanside Fire Accident

Two people suffered severe burns and were taken to UC San Diego Medical Center. One firefighter and another civilian sustained minor injuries but they didn’t need to be hospitalized.

The fire destroyed the apartments.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
