Montecito, California (March 23, 2019) – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in the Montecito area of Santa Barbara early Saturday morning.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened on US Highway 101 near Olive Mill Road at about 2:15 a.m. according to a local news source.
It is reported that a pedestrian was laying on the roadway when he was struck by a car. The unidentified died at the scene of the accident.

The motorist reportedly stopped to check on the victim before driving away. The authorities later apprehended the motorist.
