Rider Hospitalized after Bakersfield Crash on 17th and Union Avenue
Bakersfield, California (March 15, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a vehicle on Thursday morning in Bakersfield, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened at about 10:30 a.m. March 14 on 17th and Union Avenue.
Police said a Dodge Avenger made a U-turn in front of the motorcyclist, causing the rider to strike the back of the car.
The impact ejected the rider and threw him onto the air before landing on the roadway.
Rider Dies in Bakersfield Motorcycle Crash
The paramedics transported the victim to a hospital with moderate to major injuries.
Police said alcohol and drugs were unlikely factors in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
