Sacramento, CA: Fatal Motorcycle Crash at 24th Street and Wah Avenue, March 7
Motorcyclist Killed, 1 Severely Injured in Sacramento Accident Thursday evening
Sacramento, California (March 8, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed and another was severely injured Thursday evening in a traffic crash in Sacramento, a local news source reported.
The wreck was reported at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7 in the area of 24th Street and Wah Avenue near Woodbine Park.
Authorities said a vehicle was traveling southbound on 24th Street when it made a turn onto Wah Avenue and collided with a motorcycle carrying two people, who were heading northbound on 24th Street.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and declared one rider deceased at the scene of the accident. The other motorcyclist sustained life-threatening and was taken to a hospital.
The names of the deceased and injured victims have not been disclosed.
24th Street and Wah Avenue were blocked as police investigated the accident. As of 10:30 p.m., the road was reopened.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
