Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle on Highway 101 in Templeton
17-Year-Old Paso Robles Girl Killed in Templeton Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 near Las Tablas Road

Templeton, California (March 6, 2019) – A 17-year-old Paso Robles girl was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday night in Templeton, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The deadly accident happened at about 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 on Highway 101, just north of Las Tablas Road.
According to the CHP, the 17-year-old girl was walking on the right-hand shoulder of northbound Highway 101 while a 2010 Chevrolet Impala driven by Bruce Wayne Eddy, 60, of Atascadero, was traveling on northbound Highway 101 in the No. 2 lane at approximately 60 miles per hour.
The girl then stepped into the No. 2 lane of northbound Highway 101, directly into the path of the Impala. The Impala hit her.
The girl was declared deceased at the scene. Her name has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
Investigators do not believe Eddy was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
