1 Dies in East Bakersfield Traffic Crash at South Reed and East Lincoln Avenues

East Bakersfield, California (March 6, 2019) – A woman died while two other people were injured in a traffic collision involving two vehicles in East Bakersfield Tuesday evening.
The fatal collision occurred at about 4:00 p.m. March 5, at the intersection of South Reed and East Lincoln avenues.
The crash happened when Gavino Castro, a parolee, was being chased by U.S. Marshalls. The car driven by Castro collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Brundage Lane and Oswell Street.
A female party was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.
As per the report, Castro was arrested together with a third person who was also trying to flee after the collision.
The crash is under investigation by the officers.
