Dung Nguyen Dies Six Days after Being Struck by Vehicle on Capitol Expressway in San Jose
Dung Nguyen Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on Capitol Expressway near Tuers Road

San Jose, California (February 22, 2019) – The 65-year-old man who was struck and injured by a vehicle last week Friday in South San Jose has died, according to authorities.
The deadly accident happened at around 8:45 p.m. Friday, February 15 on Capitol Expressway near Tuers Road.
Authorities said the pedestrian, identified as Dung Quoc Nguyen, of San Jose, was walking northbound across Capitol Expressway outside of a crosswalk when a 2003 Honda Accord struck him.
Nguyen was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries Thursday, Feb. 21.
According to the authorities, the driver of the Accord, a 68-year-old San Jose woman, stopped at the scene and complied with investigators.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
