Driver Hurt in Ferndale Crash on 5 Freeway and Portal Way
Ferndale, California (February 22, 2019) – At least one person was injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon in Ferndale, according to a local news source.
The collision took place at about 2:43 p.m. February 19, on Interstate 5 Freeway north of Portal Way exit.
Police said about seven automobiles were involved in the crash including a semi-truck. The semi-truck was reportedly the cause of the accident as it emitted massive smoke that caused visibility problems for the drivers traveling on the freeway.
At least one driver was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
