Man Seriously Injured in Escondido Pedestrian Accident at Ninth and Quince

San Bernardino, California (February 17, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle Friday night in Escondido, according to a local news source.
The accident was reported at around 5:30 p.m. Friday, February 15 at Ninth Avenue and Quince Street.
As per the report, the pedestrian, a 59-year-old man, reportedly stopped in the roadway to tie his shoe when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle
A 29-year-old man, who was the driver of the vehicle, remained at the scene and complied with the investigators.
Paramedics responded to the scene and took the pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police are investigating the accident.
