Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt in El Sobrante Accident at Appian and Valley View
El Sobrante, California (February 17, 2019) – A motorcycle rider was hospitalized Saturday afternoon following a traffic accident at an intersection in El Sobrante, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck, which was reported at about 2:36 p.m. Saturday, February 16, happened near the intersection of Appian Way and Valley View Road.
According to the CHP, a black colored motorcycle collided with a blue Toyota Prius for reasons still under investigation near the intersection.
Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries in the crash. The unidentified rider was then taken to a hospital.
The name of the patient and their condition were not immediately disclosed.
The Prius acquired major right side damage in the crash. It was immediately unclear if the driver of the Prius was injured.
The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
