Jogger Killed in Spring Valley Accident on Jamacha Road and Darby Street
Spring Valley, CA: (February 14, 2019) – A man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Wednesday morning in La Presa, Spring Valley, authorities said.
The incident took place at about 4:25 a.m. February 13, at the intersection of Jamacha Road and Darby Street.
The California Highway Patrol said a 45-year-old man was jogging westbound in the right lane of eastbound Jamacha Road while wearing dark clothing. A 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV driven by a 31-year-old man was eastbound on Jamacha Road when it hit the jogger.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene, and his name was not released pending notification of the family.
The accident remains under investigation.
