Man Dies in Merced Train Accident on V Street
Merced, California (February 10, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a train on Saturday morning in Merced, according to the Merced Police Department.
The crash took place at about 11:11 a.m. February 9, in the 1500 block of V Street.
Police said a man likely to be in his 40s was walking across the tracks when a westbound train struck him.
The victim, whose identity was withheld, was killed in the accident.
The Merced Police Department is conducting an investigation into the accident.
