Oceanside, California (February 8, 2019) – Three women died, and three others were hospitalized after a suspected DUI crash that took place Tuesday afternoon in Oceanside, a local news source reported.

As per the report, the accident transpired at about 2:50 p.m. in the area of Oceanside Boulevard and Coast Highway.

The deceased parties and three others were traveling in a 2003 Mazda 6 sedan east on Oceanside Boulevard when a 2007 Toyota Tacoma ran a red light and broadsided them. The Tacoma was being driven by 19-year-old Mason Fish on South Coast Highway.

A woman and a 13-year-old girl were ejected from the Mazda after the impact.

The woman who was ejected, and two other women, died of injuries sustained in the crash. Their identities remain undisclosed.

Two other men who occupied the front seat of the Mazda sustained moderate to serious injuries and were transported to Scripps La Jolla Medical Center for treatment. The men have been identified as 82-year-old Aquilino Arango Ojeda, of Fallbrook, and 43-year-old Rey David Velasco Herrera, of Oceanside.

The 13-year-old was taken to Rady Children Hospital in an unknown condition.

Police arrested Fish after establishing that he was driving under the influence of an undisclosed controlled substance and the time of the crash.
