1 Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident at Watt Avenue and Arden Way
Sacramento, California (February 7, 2019) – One person was killed after a pedestrian accident Thursday night in the area of Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 7:31 p.m. Thursday, at Watt Avenue and Arden Way.
As per the CHP officials, a silver truck hit a pedestrian for reasons still under investigation. The pedestrian was lying in the roadway after the collision.
Authorities confirmed one fatality as a result of the collision. The deceased’s name was not immediately known awaiting notification of next of kin.
Officials blocked the left turn lane following the collision.

An investigation is underway.

Motorists are required by law to decrease speed and give the right way to pedestrians walking in marked and unmarked crosswalks. It is unclear if the victim was walking in a safe area along the highway.
