Officer Tom Maguire Suffers Minor Injuries in Walnuk Creek Motorcycle Crash on Interstate Highway 680 near Livorna Road

Walnuk Creek, California (February 7, 2019) – A 22-year veteran California Highway Patrol officer was injured Wednesday morning in a motorcycle crash south of Walnut Creek, authorities said.
The wreck occurred at around 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6 on Interstate Highway 680 near the Livorna Road interchange in unincorporated Alamo.
According to the CHP, Officer Tom Maguire was riding a motorcycle on southbound Interstate Highway 680 when for an unknown reason his bike hit a black Jaguar sedan.
Both the motorcycle and the Jaguar were traveling toward the right shoulder when the crash happened.
Maguire sustained minor injuries and was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. The driver of the Jaguar was uninjured in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
