5 Dead, 2 Hurt in Yorba Linda Plane Crash on Canyon Drive near Anaheim

Yorba Linda, California (February 4, 2019) – Five people were killed and two others were injured when a small plane crashed Sunday afternoon in Yorba Linda near Anaheim, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash occurred just before 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 3 in the 19000 block of Canyon Drive.
As per the report, the twin-engine Cessna 414A went down shortly after taking off from the Fullerton Municipal Airport for unknown reasons.
Officials said the crash ignited a fire in one home. Debris, including a propeller, was scattered in the street and people’s yards following the crash.
The male pilot, who was the only person in the twin-engine plane and four other people in the Yorba Linda house that caught fire died as a result of the crash. The deceased occupants of the home were two males and two females.
According to the authorities. a woman, who came out of the burning house with singed hair, was transported to the hospital with burn injuries. A firefighter also sustained minor injuries.
The names of the deceased and the injured victims have not been released.
An investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is underway.
