At Least 1 Hospitalized after Carlsbad Crash on 5 Freeway and Airport Boulevard
Carlsbad, California (February 1, 2019) –At least one person was hospitalized after a multi-car collision Thursday afternoon in the area of Carlsbad, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at around 3:18 p.m. Thursday, January 31, on southbound 5 Freeway at Airport Boulevard.
As per the CHP officials, four vehicles crashed for unknown reasons.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. One person complained of pain as a result of the collision and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
No additional information concerning this incident was provided.
An investigation is underway.
