37-Year-Old Dos Palos Woman Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Accident on Highway 33 near Valeria Street
Fresno, California (January 24, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday in Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash happened at an unspecified time Wednesday, January 23 on Highway 33 near Valeria Street.
The CHP said the pedestrian was crossing Highway 33 when she was hit by a vehicle that was traveling northbound.
The pedestrian, only identified as a 37-year-old Dos Palos woman, was declared dead at the scene.
The male driver of the vehicle involved told authorities that he saw the woman and attempted to avoid her, but ended up hitting her.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
CHP is investigating the accident.
