Hemet, California (January 22, 2019) – One person was injured after a dog attack Monday afternoon in the area of Hemet, according to a local news source.

The incident was reported at around 4:35 p.m. Monday, January 21, in the 800 block of Douglas Court, near Johnston Avenue.

As per the report, a dog got loose from a backyard and bit a neighborhood resident on the leg.

Emergency crews along with paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the person who suffered minor injuries as a result of the bite.

Authorities said that the dog owner cooperated with the officials.

An animal control officer reportedly took the dog into custody to put it in Quarantine as the investigation was ongoing.
