Miguel Macias Struck, Killed by Vehicle on State Route 210 in San Bernardino
Miguel Macias ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in San Bernardino Accident on State Route 210 near Archibald Avenue

San Bernardino, California (January 20, 2019) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday night in San Bernardino has been identified as Miguel Macias, 32, according to the San Bernardino Sheriff-Coroner.
The fatal accident happened at around 7:36 p.m. Friday, January 18 on the westbound lanes of State Route 210, just east of Archibald Avenue.
Authorities said Macias was standing near his vehicle when for an unknown reason he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
Miguel was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
The crash remains under investigation by California Highway Patrol.

The law requires drivers to slow down and give the right of way to pedestrians in both marked and unmarked crosswalks.
Investigators will inspect the vehicle involved for mechanical issues or system failure and analyze photographs of the site of the crash. They will also determine if the driver was intoxicated as at the time of the accident.
