Minor Injuries Reported in Contra Costa Accident on 680 Freeway near Monument Boulevard
Contra Costa, California (January 18, 2019) – Minor injuries were reported after a two-vehicle collision Friday morning in the area of Contra Costa, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at around 6:10 a.m. Friday on southbound 680 Freeway, just south of Monument Boulevard.
As per the report, a red Honda Civic and a black pickup truck crashed for reasons still under investigation.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The number of victims and their current condition remained unknown.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
The collision caused traffic delays to lane 1 and the HOV lane. The roadway was cleared as of 6:50 a.m.
The incident remains under investigation.
