24-Year-Old Man Killed in Nipomo Skateboard Crash on Frontage Road near Hill Road
Nipomo, California (January 18, 2019) – A 24-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday night while riding a skateboard in Nipomo, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened on Frontage Road near Hill Road. The exact time of the accident was not mentioned in the report.
As per the report, the 24-year-old man was riding his skateboard in the southbound lane of Frontage Road when for an unknown reason he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old Nipomo man.
The skateboarder died in the accident. His name has not been released pending identification and notification of his family.
Investigators said there are no shoulders on the road where the accident happened and the driver didn’t see the skateboarder.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were factors in the crash and It’s unknown which direction the skateboarder was traveling in.
The crash remains under investigation.
