San Diego, California (January 17, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday night in the area of San Diego, according to a local news source.
The accident happened a while before 8:30 p.m. Thursday, on Sweetwater Springs Boulevard in front of Monte Vista High School.
As per the report, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle for reasons still under investigation.
Officials said that the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk after the collision.
Information concerning the involved driver was not immediately released.
Authorities closed Sweetwater Springs Boulevard was closed between Austin Drive and Loma Lane to give to an on-scene investigation.
An investigation is ongoing.
