2 Injured in San Jose Car Accident Tuesday morning on Monterey Road near Bernal Road
San Jose, California (January 16, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized early Tuesday morning following a traffic crash in San Jose, according to a local news source.
The crash, which was reported at about 2:35 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, happened on Monterey Road, just north of Bernal Road.
Authorities said for an undetermined reason two vehicles collided on southbound Monterey Road. As a result of the collision, both vehicles acquired major damage.
Fire crews along with medical personnel responded to the scene and extricated one person who was trapped inside the wreckage. The freed person and another party sustained unspecified injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
The names of the patients and their condition at this time remained unknown.
Police believed rain and speed were factors in the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
