2 Injured in Oxnard Rollover Accident at Glenwood Drive and Oxnard Boulevard
Oxnard, California (January 9, 2019) – Two people were injured Tuesday night in a traffic crash at an intersection in Oxnard, a local news source reported.
The collision, which was reported at around 7:29 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, happened at the intersection of Glenwood Drive and Oxnard Boulevard.
According to the police, three vehicles collided at the intersection for reasons still under investigation. The force of the impact caused one of the vehicles to overturn and pinned one person inside the wreckage.
Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and extricated the trapped occupant from the overturned vehicle. The patient was then transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Another person was also taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
The names of the patients and their condition were not immediately disclosed.
The traffic on Oxnard Boulevard between Gonzales Road and Robert Avenue was halted for two hours in both directions.
The crash remains under investigation.
