Victor Molinar ID’d as Marine Killed in Midway District Pedestrian Crash on Midway Drive near Rosecrans Street
San Diego, California (January 7, 2019) – A Chicago-area Marine has been identified as the man who was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Midway District on Saturday evening, according to the San Diego police.
Victor Molinar, 18, of Oak Park died in the incident that happened on Midway Drive near Rosecrans Street at about 7 p.m. January 5.
Police said Molinar was with a group of friends when he became separated from the group. The friends then found him in the street next debris from at least one vehicle that had struck him.
Molinar was pronounced dead at the scene.
No vehicle remained at the scene of the crash.
Police are looking for a gold SUV that may have front-end damage. The vehicle is suspected to have been involved in the incident.
The crash is under investigation.
