1 Hospitalized after Highway 101 Collision near Avila Beach Drive in San Luis Obispo
San Luis Obispo, California (January 5, 2019) – One person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle accident that happened Friday afternoon on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident transpired at about 3:54 p.m. on the southbound lanes just north of Avila Beach Drive on-ramp.
The report said three vehicles including a silver 2-door sedan collided for unknown reasons.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help at least one person who sustained minor injuries. The patient was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Towing services were needed to clear the collision scene.
CHP is investigating the accident.
