At Least 1 Severely Injured in Lower Lake Crash on Highway 53 at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park

Lower Lake, California (January 3, 2019) – At least one person was severely hurt after a multi-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon in the area of Lower Lake, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The accident was reported at 12:54 p.m. Thursday, on Highway 53 at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park.
As per the report, three cars crashed for unknown reasons. Officials said that it was a chain-reaction crash with several drivers rear-ending each other. One person was down in the roadway following the accident.
Emergency crews along with paramedics responded to the scene and attended to at least one person who suffered injuries as a result of the accident. At least one person was transported to the hospital for treatment of severe injuries.
The number of victims and their current condition remained unknown.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the cars from the crash site.
