Mother, Daughter Killed in Garden Grove Crash on Garden Grove Freeway near Valley View Street
Garden Grove, California (January 1, 2018) – A mother and her daughter were killed in a multi-vehicle collision early Tuesday morning in Garden Grove, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The authorities responded to the incident at about 1 a.m. on the Garden Grove (22) Freeway east of Valley View Street.
Preliminary reports show that a vehicle overturned in the westbound lanes of the freeway after being involved in the multi-vehicle wreck.
A 33-year-old woman and her 9-year-old daughter were killed in the crash. It’s unclear whether there were other injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
