Truckee, California (July 29, 2021) – Six deaths have been confirmed following a plane crash that occurred in Truckee on Monday afternoon, according to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.
The wreck was reported shortly after 1 p.m. near the Ponderosa Golf Course.
According to deputies, the Bombardier CL 600 jet, which originated from Coeur d’ Alene in Idaho, was attempting to land at the Truckee Tahoe Airport when it went down into a wooded area near the golf course and burst into flames.

Six people onboard the plane were killed in the crash.
The identities of the deceased were not immediately disclosed.
Firefighters put out the flames that were caused by the crash.
The FAA and the NTSB are investigating the wreck.
