Turlock, California (July 20, 2021) – A man is facing DUI charges following a collision that left several injured on Saturday night in Turlock, according to CHP.
The wreck happened at around 8:38 p.m. July 17, on the Golden State Boulevard at Griffith Avenue.
CHP said Andres Castaneda, 26, of Planada, was driving a black 2015 Honda Accord southbound on the Golden State Boulevard when he crashed into the rear of a silver 2007 Chevy Silverado driven by Eduardo Alvarez Flores, 37.

A 3-year-old boy in the Chevy was flown to Madera Children’s Hospital for treatment of facial lacerations and a head injury.
Flores and his other passengers, Karina Garcia and a 1-year-old, sustained minor injuries.
Castaneda was flown to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries. He is expected to face DUI charges following the incident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
