Butte County, California (July 14, 2021) – Five people were injured following a four-vehicle collision Wednesday morning in Butte County, the California Highway Patrol said.
The multi-vehicle accident took place on Gridley Road near Larkin Road at about 7:29 a.m.
The crash began when, for unknown reasons, a westbound silver Nissan Altima made a left turn on Authority Dr. in front of a red Ford Focus. In the process, the two automobiles crashed on July 14.
Due to the impact, the Nissan was pushed into the eastbound lane, where it collided with a 2010 Nissan Pathfinder.
As per the report, the Pathfinder crashed with a westbound Nissan Rogue after it lost control and crossed over into the westbound lanes.

The CHP said a total of five people were hurt in the accident.
All four wrecked vehicles were towed away from the crash site.
The accident remains under an active investigation.
