Yolo County, CA: Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 80 near Woodland

Yolo County, California (July 13, 2021) – A man was killed Sunday in a traffic collision near Woodland in Yolo County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly multi-vehicle crash occurred shortly before midnight on Sunday, July 11, on Interstate 80, just east of County Road 32A.

The CHP said the man was trying to push a 2016 Toyota when a 2010 Cadillac traveling in the third lane struck him.

The man fell into the traffic lanes and was hit by two other vehicles. A third car, a 2016 Nissan, slammed into the Cadillac.

Fatal Car Crash on Interstate 80 in Yolo County

The man, whose name has not been disclosed pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

It is undetermined if intoxication played a role in the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
