Diamond Bar, California (July 10, 2021) – A person was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Diamond Bar on the Fourth of July, according to the authorities.
The deadly crash happened in the area of Lycoming Street and Penarth Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. July 4.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle traveling west on Lycoming Street collided with a pedestrian walking northbound on Penarth Avenue and was crossing Lycoming Street.

The victim was taken to a hospital and later succumbed to their injuries. The victim’s identity was not immediately released.
Authorities believe the suspect who fled the scene after striking the pedestrian was driving a gray or silver two-door sedan.
The search is on for the suspect.
