Tipton, CA: Major Injury Truck Accident on Highway 99
At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Tipton Crash on Highway 99 near SR- 190

Tipton, California (July 9, 2021) – At least one person was seriously injured early Friday morning in a traffic collision involving a pair of trucks in Tipton, Tulare County, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at around 4:49 a.m. on Highway 99 near state Route 190.
As per the CHP report, a red big rig truck collided with a FedEx truck under unclear circumstances on Highway 99.
Major-Injury Crash in Tipton
At least one person was trapped in one of the trucks and was extricated by firefighters. Paramedics took at least one patient to a hospital with major injuries.
Authorities closed the highway for several hours while the investigation and cleanup took place. As of 8:00 a.m., the roadway was reopened.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
