Kara Giacone Among 2 Injured in Anaheim Crash on 91 Freeway at Harbor Boulevard
Anaheim, California (July 7, 2021) – Kara Trisha Giacone, 18, of Tustin, has been identified as one of the two parties who were injured in a Tuesday morning wrong-way traffic accident that killed a 22-year-old woman in Anaheim, Riverside County, authorities said.
The deadly accident transpired at about 1:15 a.m., on July 6, on Riverside (91) Freeway at Harbor Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 22-year-old woman was driving a 2000 Dodge pickup truck on the freeway at Harbor Boulevard and continued driving westbound in the eastbound lanes.
Unfortunately, the Dodge pickup truck reportedly collided with a 2015 Honda, driven by William Yousef Hattar, 23.
Kara Giacone Injured in 91 Freeway Crash
Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hattar and Giacone sustained major injuries in the accident and were taken to UC Irvine Medical Center for treatment.
A 2019 Mercedes-Benz was also involved in the crash. No one in the vehicle was injured. However, a passenger in the vehicle- 39-year-old Fadal Fadssl Elijazzar – was arrested on charges unrelated to the collision.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
