Fremont, California (July 7, 2021) – A teen was hospitalized with major injuries after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bike in Fremont on Sunday night, according to the Fremont police.

The accident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. July 4, in the area of Hansen Avenue and Dutra Way.

A 15-year-old Fremont boy was riding a bike in the area when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Fremont man.

Teen Critically Injured in Fremont Bicycle Crash 

The victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the accident.

The crash is under investigation.
