1 Killed, 1 Injured in Bakersfield Pedestrian Crash on 4th Street
Bakersfield, California (July 6, 2021) – One person was killed and another injured in an auto-pedestrian collision in east Bakersfield early Monday morning, according to police.
The incident happened in the 600 block of 4th Street at about 12:54 a.m. July 5.
Police said a man was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
The driver then stopped to check on the victim and was also hit by another driver.

The second driver remained at the scene after the incident.
Police said the first pedestrian died at the scene while the second victim was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the incident.
