Jessica Dewet Arrested after Ontario Pedestrian Crash on Euclid Avenue and Riverside Drive

Ontario, California (July 6, 2021) – A woman was arrested following an auto-pedestrian accident that left one person dead and another injured on Monday morning in Ontario, according to Ontario police.
The accident was reported in the area of Euclid Avenue and Riverside Drive at around 11:15 a.m. July 5.
Police said two fruit vendors were northbound crossing Riverside Drive with their cart when they were struck by a vehicle driven by Jessica Dewet, 43, of Chino.

One of the victims died at the scene while the second was transported to hospital with critical injuries.
Dewet was transported to hospital with minor injuries. She was also arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
No further details were released.
The crash is under investigation.
