One Person Killed in Yankee Hill Crash on Highway 70
Yankee Hill, California (July 5, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Monday morning traffic accident that killed one person near Yankee Hill in Butte County.
The deadly head-on collision transpired at about 3:00 a.m. on Highway 70 between Rich Gulch Road and the bridge.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Red Mazda collided head-on with a Ford Focus on the highway in unclear circumstances.
Sadly, one person sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
