Vallejo, California (July 5, 2021) – At least one person sustained major injuries in a multi-vehicle collision that took place Sunday afternoon in Vallejo, the California Highway Patrol said.

The pileup occurred at about 2:11 p.m. on eastbound 80 Freeway at the Carquinez Bridge Toll Plaza.

A silver Infiniti, a white pickup truck, and a gray Nissan Versa were involved in the collision.

Paramedics responded to the scene to find at least one person with severe injuries.

Authorities had not yet established the cause of the collision at the time of the report, but CHP is investigating.
