Healdsburg, CA: Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Traffic Collision on Highway 128

Healdsburg, California (July 2, 2021) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized Friday evening after being involved in a traffic collision at an intersection in Healdsburg.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 128 at Alexander Valley Road.

The report said, for unknown reasons, a black sports bike collided with a Toyota sedan at the intersection, blocking the roadway.

The rider was lying down on the ground after the impact.

Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked both directions of the highway to allow an air ambulance to land and airlift the rider to the hospital.

The male motorcyclist complained of pain to the chest and shoulders.

Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
