Domingo Cordova ID’d as Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on Shadow Palm Avenue near Monroe Street in Indio
Indio, California (June 30, 2021) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has identified the pedestrian who died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Monday night in Indio as Domingo Cordova, 57, of Indio.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 9:01 p.m. Monday, June 28 on Shadow Palm Avenue, just west of Monroe Street.
Authorities said Cordova was hit by a red full-size single-cab pickup truck while walking in the area.
Pedestrian Killed in Indio Hit-and-Run Crash Identified
Cordova was pronounced dead at the scene at around 9:07 p.m.
The driver of the pickup truck, only identified as a male victim, fled the scene after hitting Cordova.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
