Rialto, California (June 29, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a wrong-way crash that happened Monday evening in Rialto, leaving one person dead, as per a local news source.

The fiery collision transpired at around 7:30 p.m. on westbound 210 Freeway near Pepper Avenue.

As per the article, authorities received reports of a driver traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes, swerving across lanes and smashing into other vehicles.

The wrong-way driver reportedly caused a crash that left one of the cars on fire. Several people had to be removed from that vehicle, as per authorities who responded to the scene.

The westbound lanes of the freeway were shut down to contain fire that spread from the crash scene to the side of the road.

One person was killed in the collision. No information was available at the time of the report about the identity of the deceased and the car that they occupied.
