San Diego, California (June 28, 2021) – A San Diego collision involving a motorcycle Saturday night seriously injured one person, the California Highway Patrol said.

The major injury crash happened on Interstate 15 just north of Market Street at approximately 10:25 p.m.

The accident involved unspecified vehicle and a motorcycle that crashed on the southbound side of the freeway under unclear circumstances.

Due to the impact, the rider was ejected from the bike and sustained major injuries. The unidentified victim was attended to by paramedics before being rushed to an area hospital for medication.

The crash resulted in the closure of the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 for unknown time.
