Los Angeles, CA: Woman Killed, Several Injured after SUV Crashes into Home on Buckingham Road
1 Killed, 4 Injured, Including 2 LAPD Officers in Baldwin Hills Crash on Buckingham Road near 39th Street

Los Angeles, California (June 26, 2021) – A woman died, and four others, including two Los Angeles Police Department officers, were injured when an SUV crashed into a home early Saturday morning in Baldwin Hills, Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The incident occurred at around 1:23 a.m. in the 3901 block of S Buckingham Road near W 39th Street.
According to LAFD, for unknown reasons, an SUV crashed into a one-story house, severing a natural gas line. No fire was caused by the severed gas line.
SUV Crashes into Baldwin Hills Home, Killing Woman
Two occupants of the house, an elderly man and woman, were trapped inside.
The elderly woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The elderly man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The male driver of the SUV, who was the sole occupant of the car, was also hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Two LAPD officers, who arrived at the scene to help the victims before LAFD firefighters responded, were evaluated at the scene for minor injuries but declined hospitalization.
SoCalGas responded to the scene and completely secured the natural gas leak.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
