Thomas Carrillo Killed in Fullerton Skateboarding Accident on Orangethorpe Avenue
Thomas Carrillo ID’d as Skateboard Rider Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on Orangethorpe Avenue near State College Boulevard in Fullerton

Fullerton, California (June 25, 2021) – The man who died after being struck by a vehicle while riding a skateboard last week on Wednesday in Fullerton has been identified as Thomas Carrillo, 33, of Fullerton.
The deadly accident occurred at around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 16 in the 2100 block of Orangethorpe Avenue near State College Boulevard.
Reportedly, Carrillo was skateboarding in the westbound lanes of Orangethorpe Avenue when a vehicle hit him.
Skateboarder Killed in Orangethorpe Avenue Crash Identified as Fullerton Man
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found Carrillo unresponsive. He was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver involved fled the scene after hitting Carrillo. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a dark, 4-door sedan with possible front-end damage.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
